Scoring chances have been taken in "Johannland" – women win 5-0 at TuS

Late on Sunday afternoon (match started at 5 p.m.) our girls played TuS Johannland and came back from the north-east of the Siegerland with three points in their bags.

In the first leg, the Alcher team struggled to a lean 1:0. When asked about the lack of used scoring chances before the game, the players around assistant coach Larry Birkenstautz tried to do better in the second leg from the start on. So, it only took until to the sixth minute before Sarah Afflerbach first processed a throw-in on the right side, only to put her opponent one on one and to by her the next moment. Nele Schumann used the cross to the 16-meter area and, with a lot of feeling, flicked the ball into the top right corner. Only five minutes later, referee Gilke, dressed in yellow and leading the fair game very confidently, pointed to the center again, because a well-timed cross from Alchen's "one and only Patrischa" made Sarah M. into the upper right corner. Driven by the two sixes Afflerbach, who was back on the pitch for the first time after a long break, and Leimbach, who was able to regenerate after a week of vacation in Bulgaria, the numerous fans from Alchen who had traveled that day were able to score the best goal of the game 15 minutes later. Nele Schumann, who demonstrated her qualities in midfield today, played the ball to Larry, who served the ball directly to the well-started Sarah M., who in turn carefully circled the ball past the hosts' goalkeeper into the far corner. After that, the game dragged on a little until the 38th minute, before a TuS Johannland player was knocked off her feet by captain Bottenström about 20 meters away from the goal. However, Kim was able to defuse the direct and well-kicked free kick. After the break, things started furiously, because Jessi Bender, who was in a good mood again, conquered the ball and marched through the opposing ranks like the well-known “warm knife through butter”, but in the end just missed scoring. In the 47th minute, Selina, who combined well with Nina down the left flank, was also just missed by Johannland's goalkeeper and just another minute later Sarah M. was unable to lob Larry, who landed the hosts behind the defensive line place in the box. In the following minutes, the opponent came into play better and our goalkeeper got a little more work. Some gusts of wind, unnoticed by most, were probably the reason Kim's balls didn't land where they were supposed to. In the 65th minute, a Birkenstautz free-kick whizzed just wide of the goal, which was the Alchen's first notable chance after the numerous missed chances immediately after the halftime break. It was then up to Selina Flegel to mark the first goal of the second half. She picked up a free kick that was placed in the left half of the penalty area and, to the keeper's amazement, hammered the ball into the short corner with her left stick and then Alchen's "Nele" got the chance again. Marie put the ball through the opponent's chain in the 80th minute and she overcame the goalie who was a little far in front of the goal with a nice lob to make it 5:0.

"Despite the clear result, the opponent deserves respect because it was never an unfair game and the kickers from Hainchen never gave up and cheered each other on until the 90th minute. Well done girls and thanks to the fans for their support,” reported Larissa Birkenstautz shortly before the return trip to Alchen.
